Originally from Tennessee and Mississippi respectively, Marion and Lula Halfacre were approached by three of their friends about buying a jewelry store in their hometown. Four years later the business showed tremendous growth and promising profits. In September 1979, Marion and Lula saw an opportunity in JCK magazine that they couldnt pass up, namely a little jewelry store for sale in Newport Beach, CA. Over time Traditional Jewelers and the family grew, and within a short time the 1200 square ft location was no longer large enough. In 1991 the Halfacres acquired their 6.000sq ft store in Fashion Island Newport Beach. In 1999 Traditional Jewelers underwent a major renovation and now stands out as one of the finest jewelry stores in the nation, with its innovative design, murals, outstanding, well-trained staff and the everlasting commitment to "Exceed Expectations."

Traditional Jewelers is an authorized dealer for the worlds most renowned watch brands, such as, Rolex, Chanel, Panerai, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Breitling,  and A. Lange & Soehne to name a few, as well as, such fine jewelry houses as Shamballa, Wellendorff, Kwiat, Roberto Coin, Mikimoto, and many more.
