Bio:
The Raymies are five Southern California girls ranging in age from 13-16 years old. While living in “The OC”, they write their own songs, play their own instruments and are building a massive fan base. These girls rock far beyond their years!
Sisters, Kiana and Kalina, handle the lead vocals. Kalina plays keyboard while Kiana is the frontman…woman…girl and part time rhythm guitarist. Rachel is the Joan Jett of the group and plays lead guitar at warp speed along with killer backing vocals. Madi, (aka: “Mad Dog”) powers the drums and is responsible for many of the jaws that drop when the girls play live. Justine drives the bass and the wiggles. Never before have girls so young, shown so much charisma and showmanship when they take the stage.
The Raymies’ songs (more than two dozen originals), are catchy and memorable...but their personalities are unforgettable!
Their first gig ever was April 7, 2007, where they were the opening act for the Special Olympics Prom. They played all 3 songs that they knew at time and had to decline an encore because they didn’t know anything else! It was at this gig that girls first met John Stamos, Vicki Peterson (of The Bangles), The Cowsills, and members of The Beach Boys, all of whom showered them with encouragement and support. (Not a bad first gig!)
The band started out using the name: “Crush” until they found out that several other bands were using that name! They renamed them “Untitled Girl Band”, while they went in search for a new name. After 1000’s of suggestions from the coolest fans in the world, the girls chose: The Raymies
