Hot Rods & Customs with special guest The PleasureTones

The oldest and grandest car show in North Orange County hosts Hot Rods and a Concours D’Elegance with the true classics of the automotive industry spread out over eight acres of lawns. While enjoying the cars, feast on Heroes’ Deli ribs and beer as well as special brews from Bootleggers Beer and wine from OC Custom Wine.

There will also be live performances in the outdoor amphitheater on both days. Proceeds benefit our children’s art programs.

Don’t miss the opportunity to have your picture taken next to the Batmobile from the original 1966 Batman Series during the Hot Rod and Customs show on Saturday, May 14.  This modified 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, designed by George Barris, has become one of the most recognized cars in American TV history.  On stage, The Pleasure Tones will be performing classic rock and blues during festivities.

Concours d’ Elegance with special guest Janet Klein and Her Parlor Boys

On Sunday, May 15, the Concours D’Elegance begins with our Horseless Carriage Tour.  The tour will be leaving downtown from the Fullerton Museum at 9:30 AM and will arrive at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center at 10 AM.  The procession of classic automobiles will cruise down Pomona Ave, where car lovers can cheer curbside in celebration of these vintage classics.  The Batmobile will be back with special guest Burt Ward, the original Robin from the same series.

Burt has been involved with Batman appearances, reunions and fan events since the 1960s and runs Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoption, a dog rescue charity.  Sunday will also hear the nostalgic sounds of Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys performing bawdy songs from the 1920s.  This year the Concours D’Elegance will be featuring the Jaquar.  Over 50 classic Jaguar’s will be featured including a couple million dollar cars.  It is rumored that there will also be some 2011 and 2012 instant classics from Bugatti and Mercedes, including the new Gullwing.
