We at La Casa Garcia have sold over 5 million bowls of Menudo over our 30 year history. Frank Garcia, the proud founder of La Casa Garcia Restaurant, learned from his father, Luis Majin Garcia, who was a very strong willed man and loved commerce, that it was better to be the owner of the beans rather than the one who refries them.

At the age of 13 Frank started as a dishwasher at Stubies Café in Bishop Texas and his parents' teachings helped him quickly move up to chef. After his fathers death, Frank relocated to Anaheim, where in the 1970's, with much support from his wife Silvia, he founded La Casa Garcia. His dream of being able to better provide for his family and the ability to offer the people of Orange County, as well as surrounding areas, the finest Mexican food had become a reality.

Since then, Frank and La Casa Garcia have received many awards. The restaurant has been voted in the top three places to eat by the O.C. Register for the past five years. Frank was awarded the prestigious "Points of Light" award by the President of the United States for his humanitarian projects. As a youngster Frank volunteered by helping his mother make tamales, sell them and the proceeds would go to the local church. In Bishop, to this date, his mother Elvira Garcia is still remembered as the best tamale maker in town. Now he continues his legacy by supporting We Give Thanks, which holds an annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the less fortunate of Orange County. Visit our website for more details Wegivethanks.org.
