The Camino Real Playhouse has been described as South County's best kept secret for theatrical entertainment. There is not a production where we don't have someone in the audience come up to us and ask us "how long have we been here in San Juan ... as it is their first time visiting us". They are always surprised to hear that we are coming up on our 14th season. Consistent sold out performances for extended runs of recent productions of "the Bed" and "Greetings" tells us that our annominity may be in the past. Our world premier melodrama of 2006 was written by our own resident villain at large Gary McCarver. Dirty Deeds at the Depot broke all previous box office records and was the most fun you could legally have in San Juan! Many nights we had to turn away dozens of patrons who had not bought tickets on-line or purchased season tickets.
