Aventura Sailing Association and Club
Enjoy the fun of Sailing without buying a boat!
Aventura maintains a large fleet of 27ft to 50ft sailboats for your use at very affordable rates. Aventura members always charter at member rates and are in command of their own boat! Non-members can enjoy the beauty of sailing by booking one of our luxury vessels with a captain.
Rentals:
Aventura has a wide variety of rental options. From evening to week long rates for members. Skippered charters for non-members and corporate regattas for the corporate world. We also offer dinghies, kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy in the beautiful Dana Point Harbor and beyond.
Sailing School:
Whether you don't know bow from stern or you're a world cruiser, Aventura's Sailing Academy can teach you what you want and need to know. Over 6,000 students have taken courses with Aventura over the years, and learned to race and cruise safely and easily. With our proven teaching method, you can count on individual attention, plus good "team play" with your fellow students. Best of all, you'll learn to sail safely and confidently.
Members:
Aventura is a club with over 700 happy, pleasant, down to earth members, who want to share their enjoyment of boating with you! We teach you how to sail and keep you sailing! Our members participate in many social events on the water and in our lounge.
Aventura maintains a large fleet of 28 to 47 ft. sailboats, for your use at very affordable rates. When you sail with Aventura, you're the skipper, in command of your own boat, saving the cost of a paid captain and going wherever you want to go. You pay for the boat only while you're sailing, avoiding all the high costs associated with owning a boat. Try sailing the Aventura way, and you'll see it's smarter to charter. On your fully-equipped Aventura charter yacht, you can go sailing for an afternoon and enjoy the whales, dolphins, sea lions, and all our full-of-life ocean;
Race your fellow members around the buoys off Dana Point on an afternoon or evening;
Sail to Newport Beach or Oceanside for brunch or dinner;
Spend the night at another harbor along the coast (Long Beach? San Diego?) in your floating hotel.
Go fishing or scuba diving, from your own boat, in those "secret spots" where the big boats don't take you.
Visit the Catalina Island you can only reach on your own boat, as well as Avalon, and the other seven Channel Islands, too.
Race the famous Newport to Ensenada Race, and other big races and maybe win a trophy!
You'll be based in Dana Point, the best harbor on the coast, with acres of free, lighted parking near the docks, so you never worry about your car. And when you want to visit other areas, don't take the time and expense of moving your boat. Just charter from an affiliate club, almost anywhere on the west coast.
